Elapsed time: 02:31:47
Country: Usa
Start 09:55am., 17c, overcast & light wind, at p-box "687 Shelton" on Hwy.49 in Roxboro. Finish 12:34, 17c & same, at house number 578 on Hwy.49 (please see gps-map for exact location of finish point).
As an exception a little bit faster stage today. Ofcourse "fast" depends on what kind of runner you are !
The two and a half hour it took today to run 30km was a pace of about 5min./km where I usually keep a slower 5:30 to 6min/km. However to an super-recreational runner or beginning elite-runner - that kind of time is what you should have on marathon, not on 30km ;-)
And if we are talking proper elite runners, then two and a half hour would have them showered, changed and on their way home including running a marathon.. On the other hand; for a recreational runner the time would give about 20 or 25km's of running. So, I sit somewhere betwen those extremes. But I do remember how it fealt to run below 2:30 on a marathon... more than a decade ago :-)
The most important thing in relation to the present world run is that its a sign that the legs are picking up strength after more than a month where I barely jogged from one tired stage to the next. Hopefully this is an indication that there are better stages ahead and more energy in the legs :-)
