A very nice run in unusual cold conditions, atleast the first hour of the stage. The knees felt 100% OK today so finally I should be able to push the daily distances up once more. Also the pace was good so everything points in a good direction. I do realise that its a very carefull approach and surely I could have tried to get back on higher kilometres sooner - but with this amount of km's and continents 'in the legs' there is a very thin line between things beeing OK & Possible... And the body saying stop. Ofcourse, besides this my ideal definately is that any kind of running and certainly also the world run's should be in respect of the body and not a fight against it - that way it keeps beeing enjoyable and probably doesnt wear too much on it. If this was not the case, I very much doubt it would be possible to run nearly 2 times around our planet and by now have 59 000km in the legs from those two world runs.
The 'art' now is to run the last couple of thousand kilomtres without the body or legs giving in' :-)
