REST DAY :-))

It had become time for the monthly restday and I can guarantee that it was ENJOYED hour by hour ! This far into the the second world run, the daily running is still a pleasure to do - else I wouldnt do the run - but its no secret that as the the years and tenthousands of km's gather up the more the monthly restday appear in the horizon as an oasis floating far out at the end of the daily streatches of highway running... :-)

I have tried to give a little photo-impression of a laid back Florida beach city as I experiensed it during this restday. As often when running in the Usa, just as when running across the continent in 2005, then the contrasts often are one of the defining things. Here, for example the rich tourists (not me and my supportdriver ! ;-), the japanese, chinese and european; the locals well off'; taking a stroll along the mall's and shining shopping centres. And a person overnighting on the beach in a sleeping bag with not much more than a set of clothes and a meal to make it through the day.

Tomorrow - I'll be back running, and with a little bit of political science or history view' since that's the day of vote in Florida in the republican caucas election ! Very interesting for a political scientist from europe to see up close..
