Struggeling to find any motivation after this set-back wich comes after just.. Just thinking that the streatch across South America was succesfully completed. But no. It seems, the largest obstacles remain.
The energy and enthusiasm for the run is gone ! Surely there has been tougher and more difficult obstacles (especially in Africa or obtaining a "1 year go-everywhere" visa for Russia back in world run 1. And these obstacles and set-backs has all been solved and put behind me to continue the run. The difference is: I was prepared for many of them and even more central: nearly all of them came at times where I didnt find my self 'maxed out' physically and mentally already. Perhaps with the exception of the 2. time I had to get operated in the arm during the run across AFrica. This is the case now; that the unexpected troubles comes exactly as I have "put my guard down" so to speak - expecting that what was ahead was 5 restdays wich has been one of the many driving forces/motivations during the last couple of months. Instead no-entry to Cuba, no-entry to USA; creditcards closed. And no obvious way to continue the run. Stuck in Bogota with the money running out... And that's about all thats running right now ;-))
