Start 09:40am., 29c, a few clouds and light wind, at km-stone "110/45-11" on hwy. 45 North. Finish 13:12pm., 39c, humid and same, at km-stone "140/45-11" on hwy. 45 N.

Sauna-Running...

A very hot and humid run through the wet lowlands of central Colombia. A nature which in many ways reminds of the part of world run 2 that went through Mozambique. Similar short but dramatic rainshowers and subseqvently a 'heaven' of insects and humidity ;-)

Still, as mentioned before its a Joy to run in Colombia - even when at times like today its as if running 30km in a steam-bath filled with the crazy traffic (which isnt as bad as in Equador and Argentina, though :-) and exotic insects !

Christmas calendar, day 10:

Todays advice to prevent injuries in relation to longdistance running is to always try to learn from experiense. Not only one's own but just as much from what you can pick up of advice and "what not to do" from fellow runners.

NB: The reports are a bit delayed at present since the internet/wi-fi connections are long between out here on a remote 300km streatch of the highway. But who can blame the locals for having other worries than wi-fi and computers !! I'll try to catch up within a few days as I should begin to reach more populated areas and the daily distances will be posted a bit more up-to-date via the endomondo gps-tracker I run with to document the run:
