YES :-)) !
... The last few days hasnt been exactly optimal: The supportcar has broken down twice eighter making it a "no run" day or breaking the concentration while unsure wether its possible to continue the stage; my good supportdriver Wilmer from Peru has been forced to return home immideately as he has to renew his driverslicense; and to top the fun up my visa for Colombia is about to expire.
Grand fun all of it especially when trying to put in a few hours of running everyday ;-)
But - Today all three things got solved ! A true "YES day" :-)
First I learned early in the morning that Wilmer had been contacted by a Colombian taxidriver from Pereira who was intersted in taking the challenge of embarking for a travel accompaning me 1200km on my run to the Northern point of South America. Alexander which is his name, is ready to begin straight away and even today he was fresh on following Wilmer and me during the short 21km run to see how it all works out in the daily routine of supportdriving for world run 2.
The reason why it had to be a short stage was both that I had a 70km stage in the legs from yesterday but also:
That I got the visa-extension today, and not only that but it took next to no time getting a long-time extenstion !! By excellent preparation work of the danish representation in Colomia and especially mr. Timo Kurka who has helped me with all logistical questions and formalities from his office in Bogota. Its by now a typical experiense when inquiring if the danish embassies and representations can help while I run through the different contries - often offering much more assistance than I could expect ! A BIG THANKS for yet another welcome help making it easier for me to focus on running the daily distaces in world run 2 :-)
