Start 10:47am., 23c, cloudy & light wind, at km-marker "km 215" on hwy. E25 to Colombia. Finish 15:30pm., 22c, overcast & same, at white roadsign "Cali ->" at South end of Ipiales city (3km North of the Equador border), in Colombia.

Entering Colombia !

Finally I have reached one of the contries which I have throurght most about, feared and tried to plan a way to get safe through while still having to run straight through it, South to North. Though, as I have run closer and closer to the border of this rarely visited place (atleast by tourists), the worries have slowly been substituted by couriosity, wondering about how it will be - dangerous ? hostile ? welcoming ? abandoned ? sad (from the killings in the ongoing civil/? war) or ??

The next days, weeks and months of running will show :-)

For the time beeing I will leave it at that and let the first few picutres speak for themselves.

NB: The border-formalities took 2 hours, entering the Equador customs at 13:20pm., and exiting the Colombian customs at 15:11pm. I could have been far worse I think :-)
