[Stationary day in Ciclayo city as my support-driver didnt show up].


My support-driver in northern Peru, Wilmer, went to his fathers funeral today - which took place in Truchillo a couple of hundred kms away. Meanwhile we had arranged for a local driver to do the support-driving today untill Wilmer returns tomorrow.

But, that turned out to be more of a plan than of reality. After a few hours waiting in Chiclayo I decided to make the best of the day and rest instead and have another go at the details of the Usa and Canadian part of the route ahead.

But, its surely not a good time to loose more time than Ive already done in Peru. My extended visa expires in 18days from now and its not going to be extremely easy to run up to the border to Equador with days like these.
