Distance today: 30.0 km (Accumulated: 28510.0 km)
Elapsed time: 02:45:42
Country: Peru

Start 09:55am., 16c, overcast & light wind, at km-stone "680" on hwy. 1N. Finish 13:16pm., 27c, humid, clear & same, at km-stone "710" in Chepen village, on hwy. 1N.

One of the stages where the humidity of the air slowly is beginning to get increase.. A sure sign that Im approaching the Equator and tropics - which is good as it will bring variation in terrain and nature even if the steamy conditions makes the running itself a bit harder.

Near the finish of the run I passed through "Ciudad De Dios" - God's City; but it appeared that the accomodation there was a bit short on hot water and wi-fi. So I went with the more worldly' Chepen village, which were big on hotels & internet. Although, the choice was not as good as it may appear: the internet didnt work and the hotel of choice turned out to have a disco' as naighbour w. the entertainment keeping me good awake untill closingtime at 5am. in the morning.

So, one could suspect that there were a reason to the choice of name for the other city, despite the lack of worldly conveniences ;-)
