Start 15:45pm., 23c, clear and med.wind, at km-stone "379" on hwy. 1. Finish 17:08pm., 15c and same, at km-stone "367" on hwy. 1.

A very short stage after picking up Sarah Barnett from Australia at Lima Airport (quite a drive, about 390km each way).

After the run we found a fabulous tenting spot in the soft sand near the lower, Cordillera, Andes Mountains. Normally the reports are not short of tent-camp pictures but this time the phone ran out of battery before I got time to take a photo !
