Back in the expedition tent :-)
After another short stage, 30km, then our small team (Pali from Slovak Republic who drives the supportcar and Jamie from U.K. who takes care of the vide-filming) had the joy of setting the 3 tents in one of the best spots I've seen so far in South America. A view with the snowcovered Andes Mountains in the far horizon and a ground of very nice soft desert sand which should ensure a great relaxed sleep.
Good, since the sleep will like be long, not only due to the tiredness here in the first days of getting used to the run again, but also because the sun sets at 6pm. and within 15minutes it gets pitch dark with only the many stars above to give a tiny bit of light. Sunrise: 8am. Though... I've never been one to complain of a long sleep ;-) Except when Im doing multiday-races ofcourse !
PS: On the first picture of today you see Jamie and Pali and in the middle one of the staff from Hotel Meson where we stayed in Tacna - a very helpfull and friendly place !
