Start 10:32am, 11c, overcast & l.wind. At blue km-marker "km 377 on hwy.5. Finish 15:00pm, 23c, clear & med.wind. At blue roadsign "Plaza de Peaje Troncal Norte" on hwy.5.

The joys of garbage-dump-camping ;-)

We had recieved a tip about a free campingground w. hot showers, toilets etc. A remarkable offer in a part of Chile where its difficult to find camping grounds at all; not to mention free ones..

After the short run w. a strong tailwind it was time to take the campingsite into eye-view: it was a truckstop w. a garbagedump behind it where one could pitch tents and on top (litteraly.. ;-) of it get an exotic and strange smell; fumes which undoubtedly will make our bodies last long after our biological death due to amazing amounts of toxins&airborne chemicals and - a most unusual scene for the sunset.

Who can say that the world runs isnt full of new surprising experienses ! And as it turned out this wasnt too bad at all; different, but not entirely uncomfortable ;-)
