First week of part 2, wr II
As I was running today, a howling wind in the back rushing me along, I was thinking about the world runs, the 4 continents crossed, coast to coast, running-step by running-step; the 5.th. just in front of me..
I would neverhave imagined to see this much of the world, its nature, people, challenges & friendship !!
Businessman of sorts, was what I imagined when growing up ina small (5mill. people), safe scandinavian contry; "timemaneager" & briefcase in hand at the early teenageyears at the local private school..
Runningin the morning and enjoying training even before that age (and doing the first marathon at age 15) - yes - but
that you could make a living as a runnerand by seeing the World. Unimaginable !
Funny how destiny sometimes thows you much more than you ask for - just as the tailwind today :- )
Not that the run is easy - but to me as a lifetime-runner and political scientist it is my dream kind of life ! An opptunity to ever seek up new running paths & challenges and get to understand global every-day-life :- )
Speaking of everydaylife; the first week has been very enjoyable, both hotels, tenting & hospitality, but I do aim to begin to increase the daily kms in 2-4weeks when the body hopefully start to adapt to the expedition-lifestyle.
