Start 08:00am. at blue road-marker "N2-21, 44,4", ca. 41km N.-E. of Kokstad on the N2 to Cape Town. 14c, l. rain, mist and l. wind. Finish 12:19am. At cross of rd.56 to Kokstad & N2 to Cape Town, ca.2km outside Kokstad city on the N2 to Cape Town. 20c, o.c. and same.

Another day in what to me looks like 'Scandinavian Africa' ! :-)

... Cold, rainy and steep green hills w. views into the long valleys w. cattle and forrest.

But to battle the hills (500m to 1500m. alt. now) I had company by the long distance running club of Kokstad all the way of the run. Experiensed ultrarunners, for example one of them, Nick, had 22 completed Comrades (89km mountainous run) to his name along with 100milers etc. ofcourse.

What made the stage especially enjoyable to me was to see their Joy and Entusiasm for each step of our hilly run together !! :-)

It made me forget the pace & my tired legs and instead be emerged in discussions of training, race strategies, sponsorship etc. while we ran up the steep climbs in the cold white mist.
During therun we had excellent support by Dion and his whife; my hosts who live at a farm 10km from Kokstad :-)
