Start 08:15am. at small rockpile 118km N. of Isiolo on the main rd./A2 to Nairobi. 23c, allm. cl. and l. wind. Finish 13:19pm. At small rockpile 90km N. of Isiolo on the main rd./A2 to Nairobi. 42c and same.

Another day on the dust-road. But since we have reached areas w. "desert gangs & robbers" - the police out here has warned us - a few cases of drivers beeing shot. So we get a bit of exitement ;-)

- After 20k today we could see a roadblock up ahead in the dust. It was approx. 1km away so not clear exactly what was going on..
I stopped running and Tommy 'the gun' got his camera out and used a big telelense to zoom in on the roadblock. We were still not sure what was going on but a truck had stopped and people seemed to run back and forth w. cases from the truck.
We lay strategy, and I moved forward 100m ahead of the car. If I saw something I could quickly get back before they should be in shooting range of the car..

- w. 400m. left I could see some men with rifles at the truck. It was the police ! ;-)
So much for our evasive maneuvres, but perhaps a good exercise for our little team.
