Ethiopian children
- at first screaming the youngster hello: "iouu, iouu !!", milling out from strawhuts or farmfields. Then comes "Money ! Give me MONEY !!!" and an extended little hand.
Allways eager to run along 2, 3 or even 5km; these 4 to 10y. old kids who quickly forget the 'business' and absorb themselves and me in an engaged talk ab. running "Where to, Why, How many km, ?" in an eng-ethi-dk-arab-sign common language.
Once the 'formalities' of haressing are forgotten they are some of the nicest, smiling and courious people youcan imagine. And w. quite an amount of dignity and politeness when you change from beeing 'a purse' to beeing a "person" !
.. Sport can be an eye-opener for both cultures, when its shared.
