A dramatic day !
Started out w. a visit at the school at nearby Akasia village. Ca. 40 children; morning prayer and singing before class began. Talked w. their teachers - english, math, geography, koran.
As usual here in Syria: really nice people w. wonderfull hospitality :-)
.. Packed our tents, set at the Eastern bank of the Nile, after hounoring the morning tea invitation.
The run: v. very humid and dusty ! One of the toughest in the wr2. But.. Great people my two crew members; Jamie encouraging from the car and Dee running 8km of the stage w. me. Both keeping my motivation high.
Despite sand, heat, bugs/insects I much enjoy the run :-)
Not pushing the stroller makes more difference than I can describe; the posture is right again, the muscles not straining.
- The fantastic landscape of ever changing rocks and dunes and the hospitality helps too !
Nb:
hope to send last 4 reports nxt days. Havent had signal after stages last days. Should be many live pictures though !
