Haitham :-)
This report is devoted to tell a little story about how a run like this is possible:
- Its not amatter of a great, or a strong, runner. Its a matter of many many people lending a hand, extending their friendship no matter what culture or way of life. To inspire a tired longdistancerunner to feel fresh and at home everywhere !!
Sometimes people stand out and shines in their help and support. Haitham is one of them :-)
Translator in Arab - english at the Danish embassy in Syria. Who day by day has seen to that my running went better than perfect here in Syria. Else no chance I'd had been able to run the 95km a few days ago from Tartous to Homs w. 800 alt. meter. No chance I'd had gotten the great connections w. the Syrian Sports Federation who has brought out their best athletes to inspire every day. No chance that any question or detail would have been solved within a sms and a few minutes.. From where to change money and how to get through customs, to measure planned distances and making sure to meet 'the press' yet get all the rest and sleep I need to recover.
Every contry or continent there is a Haitham; and they make the world run. This reportis to my Friend Haitham !
Todays running advice:
running is an individual sport- but if you involve your family & friends it becomes an adventure !
