Another stage where Sarah had to battle stomack-trouble. And again she refuse to give in, but insist to move forward raughter than to take a "rest & recovery day"; what a worrior ! Hope its the right decition (had I been in those pains I might have chosen the recover option !). Yesterday we kept contact via txt messages on the phones once a hour, her moderate pace quickly putting 10-15km between us. At the end it got toodark to reach the finishpoint but she documented her finish w. the spare phone-cam. and will make an early start to cover the few remaining km.
It was a tough fight and not entirely easy to make the co-navigation-guiding through the 1,8 million Budapest city via sms-messages but it worked without major mishaps and it speaks much about her determination that she maneaged despite pains, nausea, 'roadside-visits', a foreign language and strange roadsigns !:-)
For my part the stage went ok apart from some stressfull traffic in the East surbubs of Budapest; same traffic conditions as Poland, worse roads..
Yet the stomack 'tests' seems to be over for my part so I must be gratefull :-)
Today there were definate signs of progress for Sarah and it looks like she is pulling out of the downward trend that had begun. Often there is a certain amount of loosing and re-gaining your 'runningconfidence' at play!
