Another beautifull stage ! This time through the major city Olomuc where we stocked up on supplies (sleeping mat, running gear etc.).
Kelly did another great stage w. us; running w. his basic equiptment in his backpack - w. a green poncho 'thing' flapping from the sidepockets - thereof the nickname "Rambo" ;-)
- He had heard about the run, decided to go, packed his rucksack and met up w. us ! That simple :-)
Way to go, Kelly !!
He instantly fittet into the Team (I often find it a typical american trait, to be v. flexible and to be able to quickly fit into a team; also w. other cultures, contrary to a common european perception. I find that we europeans in expeditions are often much more individualists - wich is a problematic thing that could be said about myself too ;-)
At our finish in Hulin we were met by 3 runners from the Sri Chinmoy community in Czech, among them 2 time 3100mile (5000km) finisher and world class multiday runner Petr Spacil ! But most important he and his friends immideately made us feel at home (as we in general do in Cz. !! :-)
We talked about extreme multiday running w. all the energy that was left :-) They insisted in treating us to a good hotel and dinner ! THANKS !!!
What a contry Czech is to have two runners on top level like Vlastimil and Petr - and what friendliness to display ! :-))
