Denmark :-)
- we reached denmark after an extremely wet but short stage. It had rained non-stop since 4am. and ceartainly I can feel that I'm not as eager at coldrain-running as 4 years ago, running in europe an equally rainy winter of 2004 during wr-1; lucky that wr-2 in comparison is a warm-territory run (Middle-East, Africa, South America and Mid.-America).
Sarah, for her part, likes cold rain !! Important to have a team who has complimentary strengths in many areas :-)
We had once more good company by Peter from Pinen and Plagen who battled the rain together w. us !
Arriwing in denmark across the narrow Øresund straight we ran past Elsinore Castle - the setting of Shakespear's "Hamlet" -(still in pouring rain, ofcourse ;-)
Our accomodation: not the wet tents as the last few days but the high-standard Marienlyst Hotel at the waterfront! Who had insisted in sponsoring our first stay in denmark - THANK YOU !!! Luxury that left us allmost speachless in our wet running clothes - yet the smiling staff made us feel at home at once :-)
And at home we were: the entrence of the hotel was the finishline of my first marathon, 1985, 15y.o. :-))
