Suomi hospitality !!
In world run one I was positively amazed by the Finland hospitality that they greated me and the russian runner Alexander with during the middle of the cold and icy Scandinavian winter when we ran through the contry back in 2004; on the first world run.

The hospitality and friendship hasnt changed. Finland are still world champions when it comes to friendship and support to long distance runners :-)

A small example: when we arrived at the finish point in perfect sunshine Sarah and I asked our Finland friends and voulenteer support Reima and Pekka if we should set up our tents at the finishpoint. The quick answer was "No ! Dont worry ! We will take care of accomodation for you. Through all of Finland." So I sit and write this report in our private cabin at riverside. After having been invited to a big Samish dinner in the evening. w. fresh caught salmon and delicious blackberries !
