2008-07-03:Distance today: 33.0 km (Accumulated: 103.0 km)
Elapsed time: 03:35:11
Country: Europe
Start 10:27am., "Olderfjord 60km". Overcast, 14c, light wind. Alt. 50m, 1021hPa. - Finish 14:55pm, [roadmark 18.5km on the E69], 16c, l. rain. Alt. 10m, 1025hPa.
A beautifull stage along the waters of the Olderfjord and the steep sea cliffs. After stage a cozy campfire despite the chilly winds. We are not yet used to that the sunlight here at 10pm reminds more of 12-noon anywhere else.. The joys of the life above the arctic circle !
Tomorrow will be another short stage and then its a 55km stage and into the world run routine of in average 50km/day. But important to ease into it :-) Peter and Erik has had a little stiff legs the first days but its easing up now. Looks like good adjustment. Geir in the support-car keeps high standards by using his Norwegian outdoors-knowhow: fishing & catching fresh cot for our dinner, lighting campfire, etc. A great help for the team and allways a smiling remark ! Thanks, Geir !!
