After 25km it was enough for my part ! I think it says much about the situation right now. Hope we can agree on a restday tomorrow.
We are staying inside the Gorongosa National Park tonight. A fantastic place especially due to the progress they have made to reserect the animal quota after war had almost emptied this large park of animals, a park wich once was one of Africas largest: an example - in 1970 the amount of hippos was estimated to 3000 individuals, after the Independence Warw. the Portuges and the civil war following the count was O ! By now they are getting near 200 individuals and this tendency goes for their many types antelopes and for elephants and lions in the park. The impression was a very determined & professional staff of international standard !
Tomorrow we hope to have a closer encounter w. the wildlife as we drive out on safari by sunset.
