Start: 1. July, 2008. At Nordkapp, Norway. Northernmost point in Europe, 500km above the Polar Circle.
Finish: St. Johns, New Foundland, Canada. Believed to be the place of the first viking "discovery" of the North American continent around y. 1000.ac.
Continents: 4. Europe, Africa, South America and North America.
Route: Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Rumania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Israel, Egypt, Sudan, Etiophia, Kenya, Tanzania, Mocambique, South Africa. Chile, Argentine, Paraguay, Brazil, Venezuela, Cuba, Mexico, USA, Canada. In total 30 contries.
Documentation: The run will be documented for world record purposes by live gps-coverage provided by LifePilot which will also be avaliable live on the website with gps-positions along with photo's and "world run radio" linked to exact geographical positions. Additional back-up documentation by logbooks, witness-reports, video & digital photo's and media coverage.
Ecology: From polar tundra to desert to trophical rainforrest. Temperature range -10c to +55c.
* In order to facilitate logistics, visa- and border formalities and transport across oceans there is set aside one rest-day pr. month. The runners who wishes to use this day for rest can state that at the start of the run.
